Whether your application is residential, commercial or industrial, Enerworks can offer an appropriately-sized, integrated solar water heating solution that has been designed, top to bottom, specifically for your needs. Enerworks offers the Spectrum line of solar water heating products, suitable for applications in all climates, as well as the Enersol line of solar pool heating systems and accessories.
The Enerworks HeatSafe Collector, suitable for residential and commercial applications, features patented overheat-protection, countering the stagnation issue that plagued the solar water heating industry in its early days. The only flat-plate collector with such a feature, this overheat protection ensures that excess heat is safely vented when hot water usage is low or non-existent, such as when homeowners are on vacation.
Residential Product Lines back to top
Our residential systems are the first systems to meet CSA international standards. Containing several unique and patented features, Enerworks solar systems complement existing electric, natural gas, propane, oil or on-demand water heating systems and provide clean energy and a real reduction in energy costs. Next to space heating and cooling, water heating is the single largest demand on home energy consumption.
The Enerworks Spectrum Line of Systems and Solutions
Designed for use in all climates, conditions and geographies, the freeze-protected Spectrum residential and commercial water heating systems have been installed from Alaska to Florida, Arizona to Maine. Top to bottom, these residential, commercial and industrial solutions are designed and optimized to efficiently meet the specific needs of the application.
The Enerworks Spectrum Pre-Heat System
Used in residential and small commercial applications, the Enerworks Spectrum Pre-Heat System is a reliable, year-round
The Spectrum Pre-Heat System includes one to four attractive Enerworks HeatSafe Collectors which resemble skylights and can be roof-, wall- or rack-mounted to ensure optimal solar energy capture. The freeze-protected fluid in the collectors channels the heat to the Enerworks Energy Pack, attached to the solar storage tank, typically located in your utility room. Within the Energy Pack, the heat is transferred to your water, ready to meet your hot water needs. The Enerworks Spectrum Pre-Heat System can also be configured to provide secondary applications such as pool heating and space heating.solution, offsetting greenhouse gas emissions and saving money on your energy bill. The Spectrum Pre-Heat System uses free solar energy to heat water, becoming your primary source of hot water. If necessary, your existing water heater heats the water during periods of low solar radiation or at night, so you are never without hot water.
The Enerworks Spectrum Single Tank System
Used in residential and small commercial applications, the Enerworks Spectrum Single Tank System is the perfect solution where floor space is at a premium. The Spectrum Single Tank System is reliable year-round and comes with one or two Enerworks HeatSafe collectors which capture the free solar energy to heat your water. This hot water is stored in a single tank which combines solar storage and electric auxiliary in one space-saving unit. The electric auxiliary is required only when the available solar energy is not sufficient to meet the demand, again ensuring that you are never without hot water.

The Enerworks HeatSafe Collectors
For use with Spectrum and Focus Systems
The Enerworks HeatSafe Collector provides patented protection against overheating and stagnation. Used with Spectrum and Focus Pre-Heat and Single Tank System in residential and small commercial applications, it is the perfect solution for applications where periods of low or no hot water usage may be experienced. The patented overheat-protection mechanism allows excess hot air to vent, preventing overheating and the damage it can cause to the collector and fluid.
HeatSafe Collectors are low profile and attractive, resembling skylights, and can be roof-, wall- or rack-mounted. They feature a high performance selective coating to maximize absorption of the solar radiation.

Vacuum Tube Collector
Enerworks uses NARVA vacuum tubes made in Germany. Due to NARVA’s 40-years of experience in the field of glass manufacturing and processing, their extensive knowledge about coating and vacuum processes, as well as experience in the field of glassmetal-compounds, they have been able to realize the production and process for creating top quality products very quickly.
The patented glassmetal-compound between the tubes’ sheathing and absorber makes the product highly robust and durable.
Through the coating with nanoparticles, the transparency of the glass is considerably improved and with that, the effectiveness of the tubes. The certified production in Brand-Erbisdorf includes all the essential production stages and ensures the highest quality possible.
The tube is made at the company’s own glass factory; the prefabrication manufactures the copper absorber units. The assembly of both parts for the finished product takes place at their state of the art manufacturing plant which was put into operation in 2007.
The Enerworks, S-Power Vacuum Tube Collectors were used at the state of the art Solar Thermal system at Oxford Gardens, Woodstock Ontario. The solar thermal energy from the system was used to heat the domestic water, space heating, pool heating, and drive the chiller in the air conditioning system.
The Enerworks Solar Energy Terminal
For larger commercial and industrial applications, Enerworks has engineered the Enerworks Solar Energy Terminal, which integrates the key components of a solar thermal system. An integrated pump, heat exchanger and an intelligent control system are all contained in a compact housing. This pre-engineered unit eliminates the need to procure and assemble components from a variety of sources and simplifies the installation. Pre-assembled and factory-tested, the Solar Energy Terminal contains multi-speed pumps and a pre-programmed controller which enables internet communication and set-point customization for each installation, optimizing performance for the specific site conditions and ensuring cost-effective operation.
